A First Home!

Real estate can feel snappy and hectic, but sometimes it works out in a really beautiful and full-circle way.
I first connected with R + K back in May and we got to work trying to find a place for them to settle in. As newer Washingtonians with a wide area to house hunt, we started close to home. Touring homes in Tacoma and getting to know each other, something finally clicked when we saw a home on an acre of land with a mountain view out in Puyallup.
At the start of the spring market, we competed against 12 offers and while we didn’t get that one, there was a spark and the idea that maybe some space would suit them better than a home in the city.
We spent a few more weeks searching all over Pierce County from McKinley, to Parkland, Spanaway, and eventually out to Graham where at the end of a monster day of touring we found it. On the market for a few weeks, our offer was quickly accepted. We sped through inspections, got a waived appraisal, and were able to close in just 20 days so the sellers could be on their way to Texas – not far from where R + K moved from just a year and a half earlier.
I’m thrilled for them and their growing family to see Mt. Rainier every day on the drive down their street, make some memories, host visiting family, and enjoy how sweet a backyard feels after apartment living for the last year.
Cheers to a busy, happy summer 🌞
